Dalana Thompson

I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) providing counseling services to adults, children, families, or groups. I received a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Boise State University. I have enjoyed working with clients from all cultural backgrounds and situations.
I love to get to know each client and develop a strong therapeutic relationship. I truly believe in helping each client grow and develop on their own terms. I generally take a strength based approach to counseling helping each individual find their own personal strength and meaning. Additionally, I identify mostly with an existential approach to counseling, but utilize other theories and approaches based on client need. I work collaboratively with each client, in an accepting environment, to help each client build and develop strategies in dealing with the difficulties each of us face in life.
I have lived in the Boise area for the last 8 years and love all the outdoor activities that Idaho has to offer. I have been married for 20+ years and have 2 children.
