About Me
I have received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Wayne State University and I am currently employed at Bright Spot Counseling in Farmington Hills, as well as at the Jewish Family Services of Detroit, at their Oak Park and West Bloomfield offices. I work primarily with individuals experiencing chronic insomnia, depression and anxiety,. My training is in cognitive behavioral, solution focused therapy as well as in psychodynamic techniques. Additionally, I am Certified as an ACT therapist and have certification in Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I).
I moved to Michigan from California, where I directed a medical practice for many years, priding myself on my long-lasting personal relationships with my patients. The Los Angeles area gave me the wonderful opportunity to serve a highly diverse population and develop an interest in my patients’ lives. Outside of my practice I volunteered as a mentor and life coach to individuals needing guidance, and was honored for excellence in this endeavor.
