About Me
Hello! My name is Samira Pizarro. I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Texas. I graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2017 and received my LCSW license in 2022. I love watching tv/movies, playing games and reading.
Do you find it difficult to deal with depression, anxiety, loneliness, etc.? If you find it difficult to experience these feelings alone, please have a chat with me.
My goal is to help you become the best version of yourself! I love challenging your thought process and talking about your whole sense of self. Whether you are feeling down, anxious, unmotivated, or needing help processing events or circumstances, I'm here to listen!
Let's work together to find a solution that fits your individual needs. We can discuss the root cause of what you believe to be the barriers that are making it difficult for you to live a fulfilling and productive life. You have the power to make a positive change, let me help you achieve your goals or help you create goals to help you gain self-confidence in mind, body, and spirit!
When we first meet, we will learn more about your needs and what you feel is most important to you. Learning more about what it is you want to improve is the first step to your healing journey. We will also discuss informed consent, expectations, exploring personal history, and guidelines. Once the session is complete, we will schedule another time to meet that fits your schedule and during my available hours.
Feel free to ask questions during this time!
My therapy style is interactive and sensitive to your needs. The style of therapy to expect are cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness therapy, and solution-focused therapy. We will focus on your needs and meet you where you are in your journey through improving your mental health and life goals. Increased self-awareness and reflection can help you improve and assist you with getting where you want to be. Sometimes I may provide worksheets, psychoeducational material, and "homework" for you to work on during the time between sessions.
