About Me
I graduated with a BA in Psychology from Fairfield University in 2010. I then went onto obtaining my Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University and graduated in 2012. Since then, I have continued my education by attending various trainings.
I have background in working with various populations, from children and adolescents to adults, struggling in many different ways. I have worked as an Emergency Mobile Psychiatric Service Clinician (EMPS) for children/adolescents in crisis and also as a Type 1 Diabetic Counselor. I also have experience working with defendant’s and victim’s of domestic violence as well as with couples and parents learning to work together.
I enjoy using an eclectic approach although I do try to utilize Mindfulness techniques and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy practices as much as possible.
I believe one of the most important pieces in therapy is building a positive therapeutic alliance with my clients. I am always open to feedback since I believe it is an essential key component in treatment for both the client and clinician.
