About Me
Are you feeling anxious, stressed, and/or worried about your relationships with others? Have you experienced a life transition that is difficult? Are you wanting to gain emotional insight and healing to feel a greater sense of strength, courage and bravery? I am here to help! My approach is holistic, meaning I take into account who you were, who you are now, and who you want to be. I consider all aspects of you to be important and I validate who you are by providing interpersonal, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive counseling.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Michigan. I have 10+ years working with clients across various ages who struggle with painful life experiences. I completed 4 years in a Counseling Psychology doctoral program at Western Michigan University (WMU), and graduated with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Psychology from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). In addition, I have taught at WMU on Drug Use: The Personal/Social Impact, and assisted in teaching a Holistics course that focused on choices in living. My work also includes serving as a facilitator, providing presentations and delivering workshops on topics related to anti-racism work and white privilege; LGBT issues and concerns; the strengths and resiliencies of older transgender adults; HIV care across different populations; and on understanding and providing trauma-informed psychological care.
