About Me
People often first come to see me because they worry they’re not “good enough”, they worry they aren’t “doing enough”, or because they struggle with relaxing. (And as a recovering perfectionist and people-pleaser myself, I can often relate because I have lived it too. I know how exhausting it can be). More specifically, I specialize in working with concerns related to anxiety, trauma, pregnancy & postpartum, life transitions, motherhood, neurodiversity, and stress. Over the years, I’ve noticed that I tend to work well with individuals who have experienced childhood emotional neglect, perfectionism, and identity struggles. I also frequently work with LGBTQ+ individuals, and I provide a comfortable, informed, and affirming environment for members of the LGBTQ+ community seeking supportive counseling.
As your therapist, I would be honored to join you on your journey and walk with you as we navigate through this season of your life. Together, we will explore where you are right now, where you have been, and where it is you would like to be. As we work together, I can help you shift your mindset, manage anxiety, heal from past wounds, improve your relationships, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself. We will also explore strategies to help you gain more control over your feelings despite what you’re going through.
I understand how scary it might be to seek help. I used to think my struggles were not “bad enough” for therapy or that I “should” be able to figure things out all on my own. As it turns out, therapy helped me unlearn some of these faulty beliefs and truly improved my relationships with others and with myself, among other things. Sometimes the hardest part is taking the first step. Please reach out to me for a complimentary phone consultation so we can create some space just for you to safely explore how to move forward.
