Jennifer Meyer

Thanks for visiting! I’m glad you’re here. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) practicing in Fort Collins, Colorado. I am truly passionate about the work I do as a counselor, and am dedicated to providing consistent, high-quality and supportive therapy to my clients. I work with clients from northern Colorado, southern Wyoming, and across the globe via telehealth sessions. I offer traditional office-based sessions, telehealth (video) sessions, and nature-based sessions. I provide guidance, wisdom, and experience, combined with a very supportive setting, where my clients are encouraged to overcome challenges and find peace and strength.

I hold a Master of Arts degree from the University of Northern Colorado with an emphasis in Clinical Counseling, a CACREP-accredited counseling program. I am experienced at working with adults, adolescents, couples, and families. In addition to my graduate training at the University of Northern Colorado, I have completed trainings and certifications in EFT (Emotion-Focused Therapy), sexual interventions, SAFE Zone (LGBTQ), and trauma. I am experienced at helping individuals recognize principles of mind control used in settings such as religion, abusive relationships, and toxic work environments, and in how to combat these tactics and live free from them. I also enjoy helping clients through rites of passage such as menopause, divorce, and life transitions.
Additionally, I would never expect clients to sit with me and do difficult work on themselves that I haven’t had to do myself! As a counselor, I believe it is crucial that I continue doing my own self-work through my own counseling, coaching, reading, continuing education, and peer consultations.
