About Me
Taking the first step to start therapy can be scary, yet with the support of a safe and nurturing environment, taking that first step can be empowering. Whether you have been thinking about starting therapy for years or recently decided to take the step, you are in the right place. We often get caught up in life and do not take the time to care for ourselves. Self care is not selfish. You may be having trouble with addiction to drugs or alcohol, symptoms of trauma, or depression, anxiety and stress. It is possible to live a life with less suffering and more freedom and connection. You do not have to suffer alone or forever.
By integrating cognitive therapies with a body-oriented approach called Somatic Experiencing, freedom from the invisible prisons of the mind and body are possible. During therapy, we work to befriend the body and nervous system with the intention of uncovering all the wisdom it has offer you in this healing journey. There is not a one size fits all approach to therapy. We work together as a team to find an individualized approach that meets your needs.
People do not get better by shaming themselves. By learning to see ourselves through the perspective of compassion, empathy and understanding, shame begins to unravel. My mission is to understand the unique lens in which you see the world and through this lens, walk with you on your path towards healing. I look forward to hearing from you!
Due to licensing regulations, I am only able to provide services to those residing in the state of Michigan. I am accepting new patients for telehealth!
