She utilizes a non-judgmental and strengths-based approach, in order to help clients to utilize their strengths to overcome barriers to wellness. She incorporates a variety of theoretical approaches, in order to provide individualized and person-centered treatment.
Alaina has experience working with individuals with depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, personality disorders, addiction, impulse control issues, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and psychotic disorders.
Alaina states, “I believe there is more than one path to healing, and that each journey to mental health wellness is unique. From my perspective, counseling is a collaborative process. I like to think of the client in the driver’s seat, and the counselor in the passenger’s seat assisting the client in reaching their desired location. One of my favorite things about the work that I do is being able to see others accomplish their goals. I look forward to joining you on your journey.”
