Amy Huang

Thanks for visiting! I received my doctorate degree in Social Work at The University of Sydney in Australia and I am a licensed social worker in CA #78087. I also have a background in counseling and psychology.

My parents are from Taiwan and immigrated to the US I was born in New London, Connecticut. I have lived in Minnesota, Pennsylvania, North Dakota, Sydney, Australia and finally, Los Angeles CA. I have worked in this field for 19 years all over the US and internationally.

My previous roles have been an adult mental health counselor, a rape crisis counselor, a coordinator of volunteers, a social skills coordinator, a family advisor, a psychiatric social worker and a mental health professional.

The people that I have worked with have been welfare recipients, people from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, ethnicities, different sexual orientations and gender identities, children, adolescents, and adults, and people with disabilities.

My specialties have been with clients who suffer from anxiety, depression, psychosis and post-traumatic stress symptoms, Particularly, my work has been with adults who have experienced child abuse and helping them cope with putting the pieces of their lives together.

I also enjoy supervising associate clinical social workers for their licensing hours.
