About Me
People can find the support they need during the planned and unplanned changes life brings. I believe as difficult situations arise, these challenges can be understood as opportunities for gaining purpose and a more meaningful understanding of our self as well as in our relations with others.
My therapeutic style is focused on building an alliance, open and goal-directed. My therapeutic approach has been based on the unique needs and wants of each person I work with. My role as a therapist I believe is to facilitate sustained positive changes in the person I am helping.
I have enjoyed assisting people in their change processes for the past 20 years. My clinical psychology education and training was completed in 1998 at the Gothenburg University (Sweden) this training included practicum, internship and dissertation. The focus of this clinical training was on dynamic assessment along with long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy. I have since worked with assisting people in short and longer term therapy processes in a variety of mental health and substance abuse settings.
