About Me
As an experienced integrative Cognitive Behavior Therapist, we will explore core issues and move toward a healthy, fulfilling life. We will do this using a CBT framework that has helped countless clients move through the toughest challenges. Helping others understand how and why they think the way they do is an important step to understanding how to make helpful changes in thinking patterns that keep us stuck. Life will always come with challenges and hard times, we cannot fully escape uncomfortable emotions, feelings, or thoughts. Therefore, it is integral to develop effective ways of dealing with these uncomfortable "things" in order to overcome them. We can't always wait to feel better or feel ready before we get started in moving forward. Let's get you moving forward.
With honesty and compassion I will work with you to create an open channel of communication. The goal of our therapy sessions together, will be to help you develop the mindset skills needed to lead a more connected, successful life. Additionally, we will work on the skill of self-compassion, which will allow you to move more easily through difficult times in the future, as wells as become a more productive and happier person.
METHOD & APPROACH
Honesty and transparency are integral to my work with clients. I am always happy to share with you my rationale for how I work with you and any activities I introduce. I mentioned integrative CBT as my foundational approach in therapy. Integrative means at times I also bring in other evidence-based methods and techniques such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focus Therapy, Integrative, Person-Centered, Social Learning, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, I will work with you to create a treatment plan that is customized to meet your unique circumstances.
