Erin Austin

I have a passion for helping others feel less stuck and more motivated to face life's challenges. With 13 years of experience counseling children, adolescents, couples, families and individuals in a variety of settings including hospitals, community centers and schools, I strive to help clients focus on the big picture with a holistic, problem solving approach. I have specific knowledge and experience treating childhood disorders such as AD/HD and ODD and adult personality disorders. Other specializations include women's issues, family dynamics, stress management and transition concerns such as moving, new jobs or divorce. I use a variety of approaches including solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and person centered/strength based therapy to assist each person in gaining insight into their unique thoughts and behaviors. Each of us possess the tools to fix our own problems yet, at times, we need to acquire new tools or get rid of ones that are useless in order to move forward towards a happier state of being. I'm a wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and mom who meets people where they are and listens compassionately without judgment.
