Jenny Currie

I have been working in the mental health field since 2011 and have had a variety of experiences, from residential treatment for mental health, substance use, and eating disorders, to private practice. Before my involvement in mental health, I was an elementary and special education teacher, providing me experience with working with a host of age groups, including adults and children from five to eighteen, as well as experience in helping parents support their children. Over time, I have come to realize that at heart, everyone basically needs the same things--compassion and honesty. I offer a faith-based approach for those who prefer this and for those who do not, I find that meeting people where they are at and being real, even when the truth is hard to hear, are profoundly powerful. I care equally about each person's mental and emotional journey. I have also realized in my work how many people have sadly experienced traumatic experiences. I combine DBT. CBT. and body work to help individuals work through these barriers. I would sincerely value the opportunity to help you on this journey!
