Karina Suero

Karina Suero was born in Spain and obtained a medical degree at the Universidad Automoma, Madrid. Karina moved to the US where she resumed her life-long passion of helping others Karina joined the world of therapy through the Philadelphia Child and Family Training Center. Karina developed as a systemic family therapist, within an attachment-based, trauma-informed approach. Karina has been working several years in a family-based setting, with a variety of presenting problems, including depression, attachment difficulties, defiant and aggressive behaviors and school absenteeism.

Karina is certified in ESFT ( Eco Systemic Family Therapy) which is geared to helping children, adolescents, adults, couples and family units deal with a variety of presenting problems, such as anxiety, depression, defiant and aggressive behaviors, family conflict and relationship issues. Karina has almost completed her certification in NVR (NON- Violent Resistance, a therapeutic approach geared toward raising parental presence with families who have experienced trauma). Karina brings her training as a physician, a systemic therapist, her diversified life experiences, and the integration of the European and American cultures in which she has lived.
