About Me
The point of anxiety is to keep us from physical harm. Anxiety was tremendously helpful to our ancestors, keeping them out of harm's way by sounding alarms in their head and making them feel incredibly uncomfortable in order to survive dangerous situations. However anxiety has outlived its usefulness and our worry is keeping us stuck, hurting us physically and keeping us from handling parts of our lives without the attention of anxiety. Job interviews, school, first dates, work relationships would go much more smoothly if we were calm, confident and able to be clear-headed and present.
For those suffering from anxiety, the best course of action is to seek treatment from a therapist. Therapy is effective and may add years to your life. I provide a comprehensive approach to therapy and tailor specific interventions to the individual. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and provide psychoeducation.
Anxiety is complex and manifests in many different ways. Making us feel misunderstood by friends and family. My goal is to create a safe space where you can explore your thoughts and desires and develop the capacity and confidence to expand from wherever you are in life.
