About Me
Lee King is the owner of Project Fernando, a clinical and forensic practice specializing in the assessment and treatment of criminal and sexual offenders. Mr. King has training and expertise in both clinical practices regarding substance abuse and administering behavioral healthcare programs. He was instrumental in implementing outpatient treatment programs and systems of care for underserved populations with a substance use disorder in New Mexico for Nava Counseling Services as their Chief Executive Officer for eighteen years. Before joining Project Fernando, Lee was the Program Director for a transitional living center for adults with a mental health disorder at Southwest Counseling Center. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Individualized Studies with a Minor in Business and a Minor in Counseling from New Mexico State University. At this university, as he was pursuing his Master's in Criminal Justice, he obtained a graduate minor in Women's Studies. Mr. King earned his Master's in Social Work with honors from Western New Mexico University. At present, he is working on his Doctorate Degree in Public Administration. He is certified as a Substance Abuse Professional by the Department of Transportation and certified as a National Certified Addiction Counselor by NAADAC. Mr. King is a member of ATSA and a Clinically Certified Sex Offender Treatment Specialist.
