About Me
Nothing has made me more passionate about my practice than raising my three children. My education and related work experience has enabled me to see their growth and development through a unique lens – one that makes clear the layered and complex factors that impact the trajectory of a child’s life. My compassion for human beings has grown exponentially, as has my desire to touch and impact diverse populations in a meaningful and valuable way.
I love what I do. I love helping people recognize what is working well in their lives and I love helping them identify and tweak patterns of behaviors, thoughts and actions that may be serving them poorly. When patterns develop, they often are quite sneaky, and before you know it they become automatic - and that includes the good and the bad. I have never come across a human being (both in my personal life and professional life) who didn’t need support at some point. That is called LIFE. Those who reach out for support are allowing themselves to grow and evolve. My approach and philosophy is holistic, meaning my focus is on the whole person, and is grounded in psychodynamic, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapies. I often incorporate other modalities, depending on the needs of the person sitting across from me. You may not know what any of the aforementioned therapies are (the average person does not) - just ask me, and I will explain. I look forward to hearing from you, I offer a free consult to help you decide whether you would like to move forward with an appointment. While this does not ensure a perfect fit, it helps establish a foundation. If not me, then it will be someone else - there are wonderful people in this field, and I am happy to help you find the right fit. I urge you to call around, ask questions, and get a feel for who is right for you.
