About Me
Marni Winters is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (IMH18458). She is a member of Nova Southeastern University’s Psi Chi Honor Society. Marni received her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. She has experience working with adolescents and adults providing individual, group, and couples counseling. Marni has worked with clients who have depressive and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, mood disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders and has helped clients to cope with grief and loss, relationship distress, stress management, suicidal ideation, conflict resolution, life transitions and family and marital problems. Marni’s passion is working with teenagers and adults that are experiencing depression, anxiety, decreased self-esteem and relationship problems.
Ms. Winters utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and The Gottman Method with a Humanistic perspective. She will tailor her therapy style to each individual client. Marni’s genuine, warm, and nonjudgmental demeanor will help to create a safe and welcoming environment for clients to reach their desired goals.
