About Me
Melissa Russiano is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in private practice for the last twelve years after a career in non-profit administration. She also works as a professor in the Master of Social Work program at Simmons University.
Melissa is passionate about partnering with helping professionals avoid burnout in a unique way that holds clinicians accountable while empowering them to reach their goals. Her motto is “Human first, Therapist second” which comes across in all of her interactions. Melissa practices solely in a virtual setting in the states of California, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Tennessee. In addition, Melissa is an active Certified Daring Way Facilitator based on the research of Brené Brown, PhD that is integrated into all of her work.
She currently lives in Erie, Pennsylvania with her two puppies (who like to join in sessions periodically!). She is a self-professed recovering workaholic dealing with empty nest syndrome and is always open to suggestions for new hobbies.
Check out her website at www.melissarussiano.com to subscribe to her weekly blog, learn all about the launch of her Therapy for Therapists program, discover where she is doing a Daring Way seminar next (virtual options available), and what she describes as her ‘special sauce’ for therapy is all about.
