About Me
Hello! Please call me Yaro. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and I have a doctorate in Psychology. I am also a professor and speaker for trauma subjects. It is a difficult decision to seek therapy. My role as a therapist is to participate in healing wounds, restoring hope, and creating comfortable meaning from stress or painful experiences. If you are struggling with past/current something personal or perhaps family/marriage/children/relationships-I can help. I can help you establish progress through change, become more self-aware, confident and satisfied. If something is keeping you stuck, therapy can help.
My approach is caring, warm, safe, non-judgmental and straight forward. Techniques I use include prolonged exposure therapy, traumatic incident reduction, dialectal behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, person-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, and EMDR.
Everyone experiences change and painful experiences throughout life. When change happens, our daily lives are disrupted causing stress, emotional and physical pain. Are you feeling sad or confused? Are you anxious, angry, irritable? If you are in need of support, it is okay to seek professional help to get you back on track and reach your full potential.
